Job Description

The Associate Director of Global Marketing - Multiple Myeloma (MM) will play a critical role within the Global Commercial Strategy team for Multiple Myeloma preparing for anito-cel launch. This role has the responsibility of assisting on the implementation of Anito-cel global brand strategy, launch plans, and global marketing deliverables. The Associate Director works in close collaboration with Arcellx marketing and other functions (Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, REW, Global Insights & Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, and Commercial Operations) as well as with regions and countries with a particular focus on Ex-US focus. Internally known as an Associate Director of Marketing, this role reports to the Senior Director Global Commercial Strategy for Multiple Myeloma.

To develop and foster meaningful connections with stakeholders, we would prefer that this candidate be located at Kite’s Santa Monica, California headquarters (3 days per week onsite required) and would provide a generous relocation package as necessary. Based on a candidate’s expertise, we may also be open to considering this position as remotely based within contiguous United States.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate Director of Global Marketing - Multiple Myeloma include:

  • Implement key elements of the global brand plan and global core materials, such patient segmentation, buying process, and market counter-positioning.

  • Based on the Global Strategic Plan, be accountable for the Ex-US core plan for Anito-cel.

  • Effectively partner within Global Kite and Arcellx and with affiliates to ensure pull through of tactics for anito-cel launch. For example, development of branded blueprint materials aligned with Global Plan.

  • Be the key accountable role on the marketing team to work closely with the global congress team and deliver impactful marketing materials and events aligned with the brand.

  • Be the key point of contact with market intelligence to support pull through of market dynamics to the global brand plan and launch plans, as competitive implications for the program and counter positioning.

  • Support Global Marketing team with planning, budget, and contracting with AOR and other vendors.

  • Lead approval of global materials through Product Committee Reviews (medical, regulatory, and legal reviews).

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate and 2+ years of experience

OR

Master’s Degree and 8+ years of experience

OR

Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience

OR

Associate Degree and 12+ years of experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 14+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of global and/ or local hematology/ oncology experience at a specialty-focused pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.

  • Prior experience in cell therapy is desired.

  • Experience in global or affiliate/ local marketing or in medical affairs with demonstrated record of delivering long term strategic development and short-term tactical implementation.

  • An advanced science degree or a business degree is desirable.

  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to identify key deliverables of complex projects and cultivate completion/ implementation

  • Good understanding of cell therapies, hematology, and the evolutionary environment; be effective at leveraging metrics and developing a plan within a science-based commercial model.

  • Ability to coordinate with regional and local market teams to collect markets inputs into plan development and support local implementation of global plans.

  • Skills working within a large matrix organization; ability to navigate complex business structures and work across alliances.

  • An approachable and credible communication style, both verbally and written, to keep all levels of the organization informed and engaged .

  • Experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a record of accomplishment delivering effective presentations, and marketing materials.

The salary range for this position is: $173,910.00 - $225,060.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
