Description We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team in Santa Maria, California. This role is centered around managing the tax return process at both federal and state levels, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining detail oriented relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation of business, non-business, and individual tax returns
• Work directly with clients to build and maintain relationships
• Oversee multiple tax engagements to ensure efficiency
• Assist with tax return preparation, processing, and other accounting/consulting projects
• Train and mentor staff and senior level groups
• Manage the timely completion of tax returns
• Maintain a detail oriented relationship with clients
• Ensure the accuracy of tax returns
• Handle tax return reviews
• Assist in other accounting or consulting projects when needed. Requirements • Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing and reviewing federal tax returns.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing estate tax returns.
• Demonstrable knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using tax preparation software and other related software.
• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Must be able to work independently and make decisions.
• Proven track record of successfully interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
