Adecco US, Inc. Chemical Operator Technician (Shift 2) in Santa Fe Springs, California

The Chemical Operator is an integral part of the Production team, based out of thier location near the SouthBay. Chemical Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient production in order to meet customer demands for quality and quantity. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities: Performs jobs to support the daily production needs including: Pump waste drums/totes into storage Prepares drum setups for drum filling Fills drums for shipments Drops and cleans waste water filter presses Becomes familiar with all plant operations Maintain Housekeeping Work safely and actively participate in the safety program Learn at least two process areas such as Ferric and Ferrous Chloride Etchant Copper Oxide Copper Carbonate Acid and Base Neutralization Waste Water Meet production and quality standards Key Competencies & Requirements: Education High School Diploma or GED Experience Familiarity with chemical and production processes Previous chemical or manufacturing experience preferred Working knowledge of computers and office software HazMat/DOT experience preferred Forklift Operation Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Organized Must be proficient in English (read, write & speak) Energetic, wants to contribute Alert to surroundings Able to lift 50 pounds Able to use a respirator Able to climb stairs and ladders

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
