Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, this role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancing the image of the hotel. This role helps build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Hotel Marketing and Advertising

  • Plan the execution and development of regular activities and monthly events according with the Marketing Plan and is present during the activations. (Weekends/afternoons/nights) – When needed.

  • Provides and executes creative ideas to leverage the revenue generation opportunities and brand awareness of W Ibiza.

  • Partners with Operations, Food & Beverage, Sales, Finance and revenue teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target in-house guests and transients with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the hotel.

  • Acts as the liaison between the marketing department and advertising agency on the tactical advertising campaigns' creative and media plans

  • Coordinates the implementation of all brand packages and practices including special events and promotional opportunities at property level in collaboration with Revenue Management.

  • Acts as marketing channel for information regarding the property’s specific need periods and coordinates information regarding the property’s seasonality and opportunities.

  • Develops and executes email marketing.

  • Maintains frequent, active engagement with Digital Field Marketing team to verify alignment, pull-through, and 2-way communication about the status, performance evaluation, opportunities, and issues related to online programs and initiatives.

  • Verifies all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is in alignment with brand voice.

  • Ensures that W Ibiza and its communication is compliant with all brand standards

  • Ensures and builds and ongoing partners and sponsors generation plan to leverage all marketing activations.

Social Media Content

  • Acts as ahead of the pack in social media activity, initiatives and exposure.

  • Facilitates social media engagement and updating content in local digital channels.

  • Develops and executes promotions campaigns plans for F&B, rooms, spa and meetings through relevant digital and social media channels.

  • Engages in proactive online reputation management by surfacing relevant guest comments (positive or negative) in social media channels and responds accordingly.

  • Manages and ensures a fluid communication with the advertisement agencies to achieve all social media goals.

  • Partners with interesting influencers in alignment with the W brand to leverage awareness and engagement.

  • Coordinates all communications internally for the influencer’s visits at the hotel, ensuring an organized and successful partnership by having aligned all the involved departments.

  • Has schedule flexibility to welcome influencers at different timings (Weekends/afternoons) – When needed

  • Has schedule flexibility to support hotel photo-shootings & content creation for regular activities and monthly events (weekends/afternoons) – When needed

General

  • Assists the development, co-ordination and execution of all Marketing activities.

  • Supports communications duties and functions as deemed necessary.

  • Assists in the liaison and execution of joint F&B/Rooms/Spa promotions.

  • Works with Field Marketing to verify the Hotel’s website and related websites are updated on a regular basis.

  • Partners with Director of Marketing to create marketing plan aligned to hotel sales and revenue strategy.

  • Assists Director of Marketing in providing training and marketing leadership to the marketing team & trainees.

  • Coordinates with property and above property Field Marketing and Revenue Management teams to report success of property marketing and eCommerce performance.

  • Keeps abreast of competition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts and constantly evolving digital and marketing trends.

  • Assist the Marketing Director with any other matter of relevance for the Marketing Department success.

  • Coordinates and executes Hotel printed materials

  • Controls quantity and inventory of all Hotel marketing collateral and verifies copies are filed in a comprehensive manner.

  • Assists in the production of all property, F&B display, and temporary signage in hotel public areas.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major

  • 1-2 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred

  • Fluent in English and Spanish is a must.
