Insight Global Director of Sales Engineering (Compute/AI) in Santa Clara, California
Job Description
A Fortune 500 client is looking for a Director of Sales Engineering (Compute/AI) for their West Coast Silicon Valley region. This client is leading company in the Aerospace and Defense, communications, enterprise healthcare, industrial, capital equipment and energy industries to deliver solutions for their most complex challenges in manufacturing hardware solutions. The Director of Sales Engineering acts as the primary technical lead resource for the account management sales force providing both pre-sales and post sales activities for new and existing customers. This role is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The ideal candidate needs to be able to clearly articulate technology and product positioning and develop value propositions for both business and technical users. You are accountable to apply deep market and technology understanding in the Cloud Datacenter and Enterprise Datacenter solutions space that encompasses networking, server, storage, node, and rack level integration. This role requires frequent travel to the Silicon Valley, CA area to visit customers and support implementation at customer sites as needed.

Skills and Requirements
15-20 years of total experience (mainly focused in Cloud Datacenter/ Enterprise Datacenter Solutions)
Must have technical experience and understanding in the cloud datacenter and enterprise data center solutions space
Experience with AI/ML applications in both an enterprise and edge deployments
Ability to interface with customers and troubleshoot different technical solutions
Willing to travel onsite for client meetings as necessary in Silicon Valley, CA and some global travel Deep understanding of servers, storage, node, and rack level integration is a plus
Experience with various stands and companies cloud network technologies is a plus
Open Compute Platform (OCP) certifications is a plus
Original Design Manufacturing (ODM)/ Original Equipment (OEM) experience is a plus null
