MONARCH™ sits at the forefront of this mission by enabling earlier diagnosis and treatment.

The Director of Product Management – MONARCH, will report into the Head of Global Strategic Marketing (GSM), and be responsible for bringing our lung cancer mission to life through development of a compelling product strategy, portfolio roadmap, claims, messaging, and marketing collateral to accelerate commercial expansion and execution globally.

This is a mission-critical position as we look to globalize the MONARCH Platform and launch into new markets such as China, where we recently received market approval as the first robotic-assisted technology for peripheral lung procedures. The GSM Product Director will also help shape our assessment and evaluation of MONARCH expansion opportunities and help prioritize our global Monarch regulatory filing and launch timelines.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Leads Global Product Team for MONARCH Bronchoscopy portfolio.

  • Manages the product roadmap and product lifecycle in alignment with long-term business objectives. Develops business justification for recommendations and gains alignment across key stakeholders on project prioritization.

  • Shapes product development to enable integration of intra-tumoral drug delivery solutions with MONARCH.

  • Partners with Interventional Oncology to develop and execute on the J&J lung cancer strategy, Target Product Profile, and associated claims for MONARCH.

  • Leads the creation of a MONARCH therapeutic strategy to expand product usage beyond diagnostics into prioritized global markets.

  • Partners with Regional Leadership Teams to ensure successful MONARCH strategy implementation and execution while designing and monitoring KPIs to track commercialization progress.

  • Assists in the annual Strategic Planning and Portfolio Prioritization process for MONARCH.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience across relevant MedTech roles including Engineering, Product Management, Strategy, Marketing, and/or Sales.

  • Medical technology, capital equipment, and devices industry knowledge.

  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to understand technically complex products, concepts, and strategies.

  • Experience influencing and shaping strategy, while exercising sound judgment and appropriate risk taking in a matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrated ability creating strategies and value propositions that span different customer segments (HCPs, administrators, payers, etc).

  • Ability to work cross-sector and influence without authority.

  • Outstanding communication skills: ability to mobilize an organization by setting a vision, providing clarity, and translating strategy into successful execution.

  • Proven tenacity and energy to inspire change; high tolerance for ambiguity and willingness to adapt to change in a dynamic market environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, interpersonal skills, and ability to partner across functions and regions to influence the organization and drive achievement of business goals.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior Oncology, Pharm, Biotech, or robotics marketing leadership experience.

  • Experience in both upstream / front-end / NPD and downstream / brand / customer-facing roles in region.

  • Commercially savvy with knowledge of cross-functional processes across R&D, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Healthcare Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs.

Other:

  • This position will be based in Redwood City or Santa Clara CA, and may require up to 30% travel, including domestic and international.

  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $163,000- $281,750
