Quality Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for a full-time, on-site role in Santa Ana, California. The position requires working a day shift from 5:30am to 2pm. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet quality standards, and identifying areas for improvement. Communication with team members and management regarding quality issues is also a key part of this role.
Responsibilities
Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
Write AS9100 First Article Reports.
Integrate with Net Inspect.
Identify and communicate areas for improvement in the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with team members and management on quality issues.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.
Experience in writing AS9100 First Article Reports.
Ability to integrate with Net Inspect.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience working with aerospace products strongly preferred.
Firm understanding and demonstrated use of shop math, and ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Experience with CMM programming and operation using Zeiss Calypso.
Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M dimensioning tolerance.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations and prepare associated documentation.

Work Environment
The position is based in a mid-sized machine shop with around 45 current staff members and growing. The machining team consists of approximately 25 members, including 4-5 programmers. The facility includes departments for deburring, quality, and shipping.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Ana, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
Direct hire, full benefits, PTO, sick pay, holiday pay, 401k, manager/supervisor promotion options, will be covered during the interview process and can be sent to candidates if needed before hand.
