Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician will support manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes to ensure products are assembled efficiently, meeting customer quality expectations and on-time delivery specifications. This role operates on a 4/10 schedule: 1st Shift from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with the need to be open for overtime on Friday.
Responsibilities
Assemble and wire various electro-mechanical units.
Use small hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, tweezers, pliers) to complete box builds, cable/wire assemblies, and PCB assemblies.
Use bill-of-materials (BOM) and assembly drawings to complete box builds, cable/wire assemblies, and PCB assemblies.
Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed work.
Create and maintain machine programs and profiles for new and existing products.
Aid in maintaining product routings, drawing packets, and interpreting instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators.
Troubleshoot operator problems, collaborate with leadership on training and process improvements.
Communicate problems to engineers and/or leaders.
Assist in testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes.
Perform experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and/or test engineers for product debug areas.
Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
Comply with and follow all company security policies and procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Work on problems of moderate scope, exercising judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
Develop professional expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Essential Skills
Experience with electronics and electromechanical assembly.
Mechanically inclined with strong mechanical skills.
Experience with assembly, inspection, and machine operating.
Ability to read and work from rough schematics, assembly drawings, and engineering drawings.
Proficiency with various hand tools (drivers, wrenches, torques, crimping tools, screwdrivers, wire cutters).
Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings, and manufacturing routings.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong component recognition skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00
