Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician will support manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes to ensure products are assembled efficiently, meeting customer quality expectations and on-time delivery specifications. This role operates on a 4/10 schedule: 1st Shift from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with the need to be open for overtime on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire various electro-mechanical units.

  • Use small hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, tweezers, pliers) to complete box builds, cable/wire assemblies, and PCB assemblies.

  • Use bill-of-materials (BOM) and assembly drawings to complete box builds, cable/wire assemblies, and PCB assemblies.

  • Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed work.

  • Create and maintain machine programs and profiles for new and existing products.

  • Aid in maintaining product routings, drawing packets, and interpreting instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators.

  • Troubleshoot operator problems, collaborate with leadership on training and process improvements.

  • Communicate problems to engineers and/or leaders.

  • Assist in testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes.

  • Perform experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.

  • Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and/or test engineers for product debug areas.

  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.

  • Comply with and follow all company security policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Work on problems of moderate scope, exercising judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.

  • Develop professional expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

  • Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with electronics and electromechanical assembly.

  • Mechanically inclined with strong mechanical skills.

  • Experience with assembly, inspection, and machine operating.

  • Ability to read and work from rough schematics, assembly drawings, and engineering drawings.

  • Proficiency with various hand tools (drivers, wrenches, torques, crimping tools, screwdrivers, wire cutters).

  • Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings, and manufacturing routings.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong component recognition skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00
