Boehringer Ingelheim System Engineer - Application Delivery in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain
As System Engineer, you will form a part of the Application Delivery team within IT INF WPX in Sant Cugat del Vallés.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Manage and improve the application packaging and distribution process
Lead, together with other teams, the definition and updating of processes related to the software lifecycle
Develop scripts to automate manual tasks and processes
Resolve third level incidents for the technologies used in the service
Take ownership to manage applications and/or systems
Manage projects related to the service
Analyse data and develop reports related to the service
Provide support to the managed service during the software packaging process and software lifecycle
Interact with the different IT departments and other departments
Maintain information and consistency of the software portfolio
Manage and maintain the infrastructure components necessary to package and distribute applications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or comparable qualification
Experience in software packaging technologies and tools (MSI, MSIX, Applications, Flexera Admin Studio)
Experience in software distribution tools (MS SCCM, Intune)
Experience in application and desktop virtualization technologies (Citrix, Thin-App, MS AppStream/AVD, Ericom)
Experience developing code, scripting and automations (Ansible, JavaScript, Powershell, HTML/CSS, Python)
Experience in Microsoft systems administration (Active Directory, Windows Server, GPOs, FsLogix, etc.)
Experience in administration of IIS, HTTP and web redirects
Experience in development, API management and Web Services
Ability to communicate with different stakeholders and internal clients
Ability to identify and resolve problems in packaging, application distribution, automations and provide recommendations for resolution
English communication skills on a professional level
Nice to have:
skills in ServiceNow development
knowledge of the Linux system administration
knowledge of container technologies (Docker)
knowledge of networks and databases (SQL, MongoDB)
experience in Agile, SCRUM, ITIL methodologies
