Salesforce Developer Engineer

Boehringer Ingelheim leverages a large and exciting Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment – in a global multi-org landscape we support over 25,000 users covering many custom platform applications and hosts solutions such as Veeva CRM, Patient Support Pogrammes, and many integrated systems.

In this role you will bring your technical skills to grow the adoption and usage of the Salesforce.com platform at Boehringer - engaging with key stakeholder groups to help design and build new solutions, and working with Salesforce.com CoE colleagues to improve processes, and deliver more value with the Salesforce.com Platform.

You will be involved with projects to support business processes using core saleforce.com technology, as well as developing technical solutions and projects to enable and improve the wider Salesforce.com platform development stack and operations.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Engineering: Create compelling solutions including proof of concepts, pilots, and designs to leverage the power of their Salesforce platform. Build technical solutions both to support business needs, and tooling to support the wider Salesforce.com ecosystem.

  • Solutions: Engage with key stakeholder teams to understand business needs and tailor solutions, incorporating UX principles and customer centric perspective to ensure that solutions are designed with the highest deliverable value back to the organization.

  • Knowledge: Develop and maintain deep product knowledge. Review new platform features, and using this knowledge to raise awareness of new abilities, drive adoption of salesforce.com in the organization, and incorporate new technologies in to technical solutions.

  • Improvement: Support the wider Salesforce.com CoE to run existing processes (review, assess, deploy, maintain). Provide insights and areas of continual improvement for the team governance and usage of Salesforce.com.

  • Engagement: Working with other IT teams and colleagues to provide technical guidance and ensure successful implementation of projects, including supporting the design review, and deployment quality processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ and/or /Masters’ degree (or equivalent working experience).

  • Proven experience as a Solution Engineer in the Salesforce ecosystem with In-depth understanding of the Salesforce platform stack, including Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, HealthCloud valuable.

  • Salesforce certified (Admin or Dev, other Certs beneficial e.g. Consultant)

  • Developer skills: APEX, LWC, Trigger design, flows,

  • Familar with: Agile development patterns, DevOps methodology, effective use of low-code/pro-code, leading techncal teams and projects, data integration strategies, and good application design.

  • Curious to learn new technology and with creative problem solving skills, applying critical and analytical approaches to help internal stakeholders further the usage and adoption of their SFDC applications. Able to communicate clearly to different stakeholders and articulate complex subjects.
