Data Architect for RDM Business Unit

Our IT EDP Data Analytics team is seeking a talented and experienced Data Architect to join our team in Research, Development & Medicine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing our company's data architecture. This individual will play a key role in developing data strategies, implementing data solutions, and ensuring the overall integrity and security of our data assets for Digital Products delivered to Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient and scalable data architecture.

  • Develop data models and database designs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.

  • Work closely with Data Domain owners to stablish Data Governance and Data Sharing Terms policies.

  • Optimize database performance and ensure data quality.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data management.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.

  • At least 5 years of experience in area of business intelligence and data management, with experience as Data Architect.

  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud solutions. Data Architect for at least one large scale modernization / transition project to Cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Knowledge of AWS components, Apache Parquet, S3, AWS Glue and Snowflake or similar

  • Experience working in regulated industries

  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and other relevant technologies.

  • Experience with agile based delivery model.

  • Excellent spoken and written English.

  • Willingness and readiness to travel.

  • Collaboration skills, excellent analytical thinking and self-organized, able to understand and design complex architecture, self-confident, able to explain, discuss and defend architectural design and decisions. Initiative and a passion for driving rapid technical advancement with innovative ideas.

Nice to have:

  • AWS solution architect certification is a plus.

  • Understanding of / skills in Innovator is a plus.

  • Knowledge of pharma industry, clinical development and/or GxP processes.
