Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The nuclear pharmacy technician is responsible for inventory management, cleaning up the pharmacy, and organizing raw materials. This role includes compounding IV medications for MRIs that contain nuclear reactions. The pharmacy technician will perform laboratory and pharmacy-related duties under the direct supervision of an authorized Nuclear Pharmacist.
Responsibilities
Perform duties associated with compounding, dispensing, and distribution
Enter data for end-of-day reports and daily dose management reports.
Ensure compliance with USP regulations and other state pharmacy requirements.
Maintain personal license in good standing through applicable state laws.
Complete cGMP documents as required within the Quality Management System.
Ensure aseptic operations follow internal procedures, customer requirements, and FDA regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work in a clean room and manage occupational exposure to radiation.
Essential Skills
Experience in pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or as a registered pharmacy technician.
Skills in sterile compounding and manufacturing.
Laboratory and fulfillment experience.
Knowledge of drug products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail.
Experience in nuclear pharmacy.
Work Environment
The work schedule includes Monday to Friday, with day, mid, and overnight shifts. There are rotating Saturday shifts, generally every other Saturday. The full-time rotating overnight schedule includes shifts from Sunday to Thursday, with 8-10 hour shifts. Shifts will rotate every 2 weeks: the opening shift starts at 11 pm, the mid-shift starts between 2 am-4 am, and the closing shift starts between 6 am-8 am. The job offers the opportunity to learn new skills in nuclear pharmacy, providing good job security and constant engagement.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00
401k, Healthcare, Long term career growth, Looking for sterile compounding, manufacturing skills. Leadership skills a plus, training schedule M-F 8-5, 4-6 weeks. Working 40-50hrs a week, and working every other Saturday. Holidays off, no work on Sundays.
Have not done a good job of hiring. New hire is not working out and should have never been hired. Good team, one solid technician. Going to have to be pretty solid. Maturity. For the right candidate, $24-25/hr. 2 techs that work in lab 3 would be fully staffed. With full team 40-50 hours a week
