About AENB:

American Express National Bank (AENB) is American Express’ chartered national bank. Headquartered in Sandy, Utah, our organization is the single largest entity within American Express’ business, currently representing more than 50 percent of the company’s Card Member Spending, nearly 90 percent of its lending, and more than 60 percent its of revenues.

AENB provides American Express customers with access to consistent payments, financing, and savings products in three ways, including:

  1. Issuing and servicing charge and credit cards for our consumer and small business segments;

  2. Offering commercial loans to small and midsized merchants, as well as installment loans to consumers; and

  3. Maintaining a Personal Savings program consisting of high-yield savings accounts and certificate of deposit products.

AENB is governed by its own Board of Directors. As the Vice President of Knowledge & Training for the Enterprise Control Utility team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and execution of the firm's operational risk training initiatives. Reporting into the Enterprise Control Utilities Lead, you will lead and manage a team responsible for crafting, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning programs to improve the organization's risk management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive 1LoD training programs and initiatives aligned with Operational Risk Management.

  • Establish processes to supervise and integrate regulatory changes into the 1LoD training materials, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders across BUs and LoDs

  • Drive continuous improvement in 1LoD training compliance and efficiency, leveraging innovative tools and techniques.

  • Lead planning and implementation of enterprise-wide communications related to operational risk for the 1LoD.

  • Develop and implement 1LoD communication plans to ensure consistent messaging and understanding across the organization, aligning with the VP’s overall strategy for enterprise-wide communication.

  • Provide input and share best practices to guide the 1LoD on communications related to operational risk.

  • Be a key leader for sharing insights, better practices, themes, and techniques across the enterprise.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong experience in developing and delivering training programs within a financial services context.

  • Extensive experience with communication planning and execution.

  • Deep understanding of relevant regulations and the regulatory environment.

  • Proven experience in driving continuous improvement in training compliance and effectiveness.

  • Proven experience in people leadership and leading a globally dispersed team

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across a matrix organization.

  • Proven ability to quickly identify the mission-critical areas in training and communications and prioritize work accordingly.

  • Demonstrated track record in driving transformation and change across a global organization.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong consultation, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $185,000.00 to $260,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
