Our partner is known for their work in supporting environmental challenges, industrial processes and agricultural needs with their unique solutions. They are looking for a Senior HSE Specialist, Environmental to support plant managers and leaders in coordinating, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs.
Position: Senior HSE Specialist, Environmental
Salary: $75k-110k
Responsibilities:
Manage environmental aspects primarily and support health and safety to meet internal HSE standards.
Lead or assist in securing environmental permits for critical operational projects.
Provide training and ensure compliance with internal standards.
Investigate HSE incidents using root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Participate in internal audits focusing on health, safety, and environmental practices.
Coordinate compliance efforts ensuring accurate reporting to regulatory agencies.
Ensure alignment across corporate goals with workforce engagement to improve safety and environmental standards.
Collaborate with North American operations to enhance HSE practices.
Support company initiatives to reduce carbon emissions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering, with a focus on Health, Safety, or Environment preferred.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing environmental, health, and safety in industrial settings.
Experience working with regulatory agencies.
Project management experience preferred.
Holds strong organizational and communication skills.
Travel required depending on business needs
