When the application process is successfully completed, you will be entered into the Elementary candidate pool to be considered for current school year openings and openings for the 2024-25 school year. All schools will have access to your profile. You do not need to apply for individual positions.

Job Description:
We are now gathering applications for Elementary Teachers that are interested in applying for openings for the 2024-25 school year! Please complete a video application here.
Applications and screening interviews must be completed in order to be considered when schools begin interviewing in March 2024.

Preferred Skills:
Candidates must have an Elementary teaching license.
Expired licenses, out of state licenses, or University students that will graduate in May or August 2024 are also eligible to apply.
We will not be considering interns for Elementary positions at this time.
Don't have a professional teaching license? Follow one of these steps before applying:
To earn your license through the CSD Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) program (https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/depts/hr/appel/) , you will first apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL). Follow this link (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KVO32TTbzl_31OXlR6amnyMFnqJpZSqgddAZ2kfrCvE/edit) for information on how to apply for an AEL through the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).
Proof of an AEL or proof you submitted all the documentation correctly to USBE is required before you will be added to the candidate pool.
If you would prefer to earn your license from a University, you will enroll in a teacher certification program for Elementary Education at a local university. Once you have been accepted, you will then apply for your Associate Educator License (AEL) and take the 5001 Praxis Test. Proof of your AEL and Enrollment Letter will be required when you apply for the Elementary Candidate Pool.
