Job Description:

We are now gathering applications for Elementary Teachers that are interested in applying for openings for the 2024-25 school year! Please complete a video application here.

Applications and screening interviews must be completed in order to be considered when schools begin interviewing in March 2024.

Preferred Skills:

Candidates must have an Elementary teaching license.

  • Expired licenses, out of state licenses, or University students that will graduate in May or August 2024 are also eligible to apply.

  • We will not be considering interns for Elementary positions at this time.

Don't have a professional teaching license? Follow one of these steps before applying:

  • To earn your license through the CSD Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) program (https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/depts/hr/appel/) , you will first apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL). Follow this link (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KVO32TTbzl_31OXlR6amnyMFnqJpZSqgddAZ2kfrCvE/edit) for information on how to apply for an AEL through the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).

  • Proof of an AEL or proof you submitted all the documentation correctly to USBE is required before you will be added to the candidate pool.

  • If you would prefer to earn your license from a University, you will enroll in a teacher certification program for Elementary Education at a local university. Once you have been accepted, you will then apply for your Associate Educator License (AEL) and take the 5001 Praxis Test.   • Proof of your AEL and Enrollment Letter will be required when you apply for the Elementary Candidate Pool.
