Actalent Electrical Engineer in Sandston, Virginia

Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage a team of Electrical Engineers responsible for providing a range of technical support for sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products/systems as per specifications.
Ensure that the team is organized effectively to provide adequate support to customer inquiries.
Allocate tasks for activities related to project development and design.
Develops electrical designs of our products to include: single line diagrams, bills of material &, wiring lists.
Develop and supervise factory/on-site acceptance test plans.
Create technical proposal and product description documents.
Fosters the electrical safety culture in the department and throughout the company
Provide appropriate technical advice for product/systems initiatives.
Oversee life cycle engineering activities using defined processes and standards.
Participate in technical reviews, as required.
Participate in Customer meetings and help resolve technical issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Preferred minimum of 7 years of power distribution experience.
Demonstrable knowledge of UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, UL 67 Panelboards, UL 857 Busway, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 62368/60950 Information Technology Equipment, as applicable is preferred.
Candidates must be able to understand electrical system diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and be able to perform troubleshooting in accordance with Test Engineer/Shift Test Engineer documentation when required.
Demonstrated proficiency in or with programs similar to Autocad Electrical and various MS Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and multitasking capability.
