School Nurse (RN or LPN) - SubstituteThis is a substitute positon for the LPOSD School Nurses. Normal sub rates will apply for certificated employees - half or full-day rates. Position Summary: The School Nurse provides clinical support to the student population of the Lake Pend Oreille School District within the Registered Nurse’s scope of practice.Job Duties:
Provide emergency care in case of sudden illness and administer first-aid in case of injury to students or staff according to established policies and procedures
Administer prescribed medication to students in accordance with law and Board policy
Documents nursing interventions and maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all students in accordance with state laws and Board Policy
Assists in routine health screenings for students
Make referrals and conduct follow-up activities as necessary
Desired Qualifications:
Hold a current valid Idaho Registered Nursing (RN) license (or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN))
First Aid & CPR Certification
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents/guardians and other stakeholders
