Job Summary:

onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Global Supply Chain Organization’s Indirect Strategic Sourcing Team. As a Buyer you will have the opportunity to manage vendor relationships within a given industrial segment and pair them with our internal customer requirements (i.e., Business Unit, Manufacturing Facilities). You will work within a thriving group, leveraging $120M+ of annual spend across multiple regions, and collaborating with internal Logistics team on significant decisions. Your contribution will have high visibility and strong impact to onsemi ’s strategy.

What you will be doing:

• Lead creation and implementation of sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories. Lead and execute Logistics sourcing projects (Transportation and Operations) to include strategy development, preparation and facilitation of RFP’s, supplier negotiations, business case recommendations, project management and contract execution. Highly organized and responsive to multiple RFPs on a quarterly basis. Self-driven and capable to drive major negotiations with senior management.

• Generate bottom-line contribution through cost savings and cost avoidances; research new and alternative sources of supply to reduce cost and assure availability.

• Manage the development of RFP, detailed analysis of proposals and vendor capabilities, negotiations, and supplier selection.

• Responsible for developing partnership with business unit leaders, contribute to internal client strategy by providing procurement expertise and early involvement for purchasing opportunities.

• Advise business unit leaders regarding procurement processes, technology capabilities, and policies to ensure policy compliance.

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, services, and goods.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to address issues related to price, delivery, and quality of goods and services.

• Consolidate supplier and spend category base as necessary.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supplier information data; respond to price increases with goal to negate or minimize all increases.

• Support AP on questions of payment of invoices.

• Develop creative ideas, strategies, and programs to drive down indirect costs on continuing basis.

• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to analyze complex data and provide useful, clear information and recommendations

• Problem Solving/Analysis - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations; use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

• Project Management - Develop project plans; coordinate projects; communicate changes and progress; complete projects on time and budget; manage project team activities.

• Great organizational skills/time management.

• Strong negotiation skills, critical thinking, great judgment, and decision-making skills.

• Communication Proficiency, both written and verbal.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
