BeiGene Executive Director / Senior Director, US Hematology Marketing Strategy in San Mateo, California

General Description:

The Executive Director / Senior Director, US Marketing, Brukinsa Strategy, is responsible for the development and implementation of the US brand strategy for Brukinsa, BeiGene’s market-leading BTK inhibitor, as well as the hematology pipeline products. This position reports to the Vice President of US Hematology Marketing.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Lead, develop and execute the US hematology marketing strategy including strategic brand plan, customer segmentation, competitive readiness and launch readiness

  • Collaborate across the organization to maintain the 3-year brand plan and drive the development of the targeted 1-year tactical plan that enables BeiGene to realize its US commercial objectives

  • Effectively communicate brand updates, strategies, and tactics across various forums including Quarterly Business Reviews, Field Meetings, and Leadership Team Meetings

  • Establish and maintain a close relationship with Sales leadership to ensure that all strategies are informed and supported by field perspectives

  • Partner closely with Business Analytics to align on market research needs and implement methodology to assess brand performance and promotional effectiveness

  • Collaborate closely with the Global Marketing team on developing and pulling through brand and competitive strategies for Brukinsa and pipeline products

  • Continually gather and analyze customer and competitor insights and incorporate into strategic plans through partnership with field-facing Sales and Marketing teams, as well as the Clinical Business Development Insights team.

  • Coach and develop team members to achieve both business and individual objectives

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical industry marketing or related experience (including sales, finance, forecasting, market research, etc.)

  • Must have at least 8-10 years' experience as a marketing leader in oncology with experience in heme malignancies preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience

  • Biotech or pharmaceutical US marketplace launch experience required (NMEs and expanded indications)

  • Experience in highly competitive markets and global and/or international experience preferred

  • Strong team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusion

  • Highly skilled in influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders and with scientific and commercial teams

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to grow and develop others.

Education Required: At least 12+ years of industry experience, or advanced degree (e.g. MBA) with 8-10 years of biotech/pharma oncology experience

Computer Skills: PC, including MS Office Suite

Travel: at least 30%
