BeiGene Director, Corporate Finance, Financial Closing and Reporting in San Mateo, California
General Description:
The Corporate Finance Director, Financial Closing and Reporting, will be a key member of the Beigene Corporate Finance team. This role is responsible for leading the month / quarter / annual closing financial activities and reporting. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Corporate Finance, the incumbent will collaborate with various functions, including Commercial, R&D, TechOps, and G&A. This position is based in the US. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, unstructured environment, with a focus on enhancing the company's planning cycles. This includes redesigning robust financial planning processes, coordinating consolidation efforts, and delivering clear and concise plans to Beigene’ s senior management. This role requires engagement with strategic initiatives and a practical approach to improving Beigene's closing and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented, with strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Corporate Finance team through month / quarter / annual financial closing and reporting.
Responsible for consolidating preliminary results and sharing with Financial Leadership team.
Establish and communicate the annual calendar for month / quarter / annual reporting.
Partner with the Beigene TM1/System team to manage systems throughout the month closing activities.
Present results to the Finance Leadership Team, with high-quality variance analysis.
Consolidate final presentations with clear storytelling, making concise and relevant analyses to enable Beigene leadership to make informed decisions.
Oversee the consolidation of Revenue, COGS, OPEX, and cash flow.
Handle ad-hoc projects as they arise, including assisting Beigene Corporate Finance in improving processes.
Manage a small team in the Corporate Finance team.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required.
MBA is desirable
Qualifications:
BA/BS/MBA with 10+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry / biotech is required.
Corporate Finance experience is preferred.
Experience as a Finance business partner (Commercial, R&D, or G&A) is a plus Advanced user of TM1, Excel, PowerPoint, and Think Cell.
People management experience is required • Result-oriented with a clear can-do and problem-solving attitude, coupled with a clear sense of urgency Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), necessary for daily interaction with senior management.
Ability to deal with strategic topics while also having a hands-on approach.
Minimum travel required.
