Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience (1 Year).

  • Skill in establishing rapport with internal and external constituents.

  • Skill in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of donor and fundraising reporting.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.

  • Experience with Paciolan and Raiser’s Edge Fundraising Software.

  • Available to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in collegiate or professional athletics fundraising or sponsorship orientated position (3 Years).

  • Additional consideration will be given to an applicant who possesses a Masters degree.

Job Description

This position will serve as an active member on the development and external relations team.

Job Duties

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward both current and prospective donors for increased giving to the Bobcat Club annual fund.

  • Complete at least 10-12 significant personal contacts per month.

  • In conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director, serve as team lead during Bobcat Bonanza, Texas State’s largest annual fundraising event. This includes coordinating all logistics such as event setup, catering, entertainment, point of contact for vendors, etc.

  • Maintain accurate gift records within the Paciolan software system and execute all reporting needs.

  • Serve as liaison with University Advancement to assist with accurate donor records.

  • Oversee athletics gift-in-kind program.

  • Oversee donor hospitality areas for football and basketball gamedays.

  • Supervise student worker staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.
