Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Ability to follow standard safety practices and procedures
Ability to effectively communicate with others
Ability to read and understand university policy and procedures, MSDS , equipment manuals and chemical labels
Standing and walking 8 hours a day; lifting up to 80 pounds; outside exposure to varying climate conditions, elevated heights, dust, toxic chemicals, and materials
High School Diploma or equivalent
Possession of valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in related field
Prior work experience in facility maintenance & athletics
Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools
An understanding of metal welding equipment and applications
Prior experience with AV equipment and digital displays
Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift experience
Job Description
Responsible for providing attractive, safe and well-maintained landscape and athletic fields.
Job Duties
Assist with maintaining the functional and aesthetic integrity of department facilities
Performs general and preventive maintenance, and minor repair work to equipment and facilities. Reports major repair or other issues to supervisor
Maintains facilities in a clean and orderly condition
Performs routine inspections of equipment and facilities
Coordinates repairs with outside vendors or contractors when necessary
Assist with the setup, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of AV and electronic equipment
Assist with the staging, preparation, and breakdown for events hosted in athletic facilities.
Maintains a variety of records and work orders related to the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Other duties as assigned.
