A leading organization in San Marcos seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee and execute their payroll processes. The chosen candidate will play an integral role in ensuring accurate payment to their workforce while maintaining compliance with wage regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, ensuring employee wages and benefits are calculated accurately and paid on time.
Manage and maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, and PTO accruals.
Collaborate with HR and other departments to gather and verify employee payroll information.
Prepare payroll-related reports and ensure all tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes, are accurate and timely.
Handle benefits and deductions, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, adjustments, or questions.
Stay up-to-date with payroll laws, including wage and hour regulations, to ensure compliance.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
Proficiency in payroll software (such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of wage laws, payroll tax regulations, and benefit deductions.
High attention to detail and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies accurately.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are a plus but not required.
