Description We are offering a contract to permanent opportunity for a bookkeeper role for our client in the Kemah, Texas region. This role is primarily focused on managing daily accounting and financial tasks within a manufacturing environment, utilizing QuickBooks Enterprise for a range of responsibilities from accounts payable to payroll.
Responsibilities: • Efficiently process payroll for a large team, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. • Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner. • Manage accounts receivable, including the reconciliation of accounts and following up on late payments. • Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to maintain and record financial transactions, ensuring data accuracy. • Conduct bank reconciliations as part of regular financial oversight. • Deliver weekly and monthly reports, providing insight into financial status and performance. • Support month-end and year-end close processes, meeting all financial reporting deadlines. • Assist in preparing for monthly and yearly closings, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate. • Provide support for additional accounting projects as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role • Proficient in account reconciliation and management of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) • Solid understanding and experience with bookkeeping practices • Efficient data entry skills • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis • Experience with month-end close procedures • Experience in payroll processing and management • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting
