This Collections Specialist position in the San Leandro, California region is a long-term contract / contract opportunity.
Your responsibilities
Correctly process bankruptcy filings when received
Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency
Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
Process Payments
Attend to inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
Manage all billing and reporting activities in line with deadlines
Record all customer payments to the correct reports
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations Requirements - Prior experience working with accounting software
Accounting Functions experience preferred
Collection Processes experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of finance
Non-Clinical experience
Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses
AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
