If you're a clear communicator with a proactive learning approach, you might be the candidate we're seeking.REPORTS TO: Bankruptcy ParalegalPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:-Support the paralegal and attorneys in preparing and filing bankruptcy documents, schedules, and other related paperwork.-Engage with clients in a confident and informed manner, collecting and scrutinizing vital financial data.-Keep abreast of ongoing changes in bankruptcy laws and local regulations.-Ensure clear, empathetic, and timely communication with clients, always keeping their needs at the forefront.-Review and confirm the authenticity of clients' financial records, such as credit reports, tax returns, and income statements.-Assist in drafting motions, responses, and other essential legal documents for bankruptcy proceedings.-Keep the electronic case file system organized and easily accessible.-Help in coordinating and readying clients for various stages of the bankruptcy process.-Monitor court deadlines to ensure punctuality and accuracy.-Foster positive relations with clients, trustees, creditors, and court staff, enhancing our firm's esteemed reputation.PROFESSIONAL TASKS:As a valued member of the Almeida & Dávila Law Firm:-Commit to ongoing professional improvement, actively gaining insights from seminars and workshops tailored to bankruptcy law.-Engage in community activities, representing our firm's dedication to fiscal education and community enhancement.-Act as a representative for our firm, demonstrating professionalism and expertise at bankruptcy events, seminars, and on social platforms.SKILLS & QUALITIES:-Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.-Creative problem-solving skills.-Radiates confidence and intelligence, backed by an unwavering determination to resolve issues.-Efficient and accurate in responding to requests.-Outstanding communication skills, ensuring meaningful interactions with a diverse clientele.-A collaborative team member with an intrinsic drive to meet personal goals.-Displays eagerness in learning, questioning, and driving positive developments.-Bilingual English and SpanishEDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:-An Associate’s degree in Accounting, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is desirable. A Bachelor's degree is a significant asset.-At least 1-2 years of experience as an assistant in the legal sector, preferably within bankruptcy, would be advantageous.
