A very well-known client is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to cover for a teammate that is on LOA. This role is onsite 3 days/week and 2 days/week work from home. Pay is up to $65/hr. regular time and $97.50/hr. overtime. The Senior Accountant (Interim) will play a crucial role in the finance department of our dynamic entertainment client. This position will primarily focus on managing bank reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries and overseeing the recognition of deferred revenue. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
-Oversee the recognition and reconciliation of deferred revenue in accordance with accounting standards.
-Coordinate and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate consolidation of financial statements.
Requirements
Deferred Revenue experience preferred
Bank reconciliations experience mandatory
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA
Month end closings experience
Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
BA/BS in Accounting required
Strong attention to detail
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
