Google Chrome OS Strategy and Operations Associate in San Jose, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a management, technical, or engineering field.

  • Experience leading operational and strategic initiatives and partnering on cross-functional projects or teams.

  • Experience with supply chain and leading business generation and pricing strategy initiatives.

  • Excellent problem solving, consulting, or strategy development skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and presentation skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Ecosystem Strategy and Operations team drives strategic ecosystem initiatives and critical business process improvements that contribute to the profitability and growth of Chrome OS. You will work with go-to-market, Product, and Engineering throughout the process from hypothesis/answer development to securing leadership approvals to execution. This is a high visibility, high impact role within Chrome OS, involving a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with white space opportunities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Partner with Product, Engineering and Business teams to identify and analyze new strategic initiatives, inform and influence Chrome OS leadership decision making.

  • Support collaboration between leaders, sub-teams, the broader organization, and related functions.

  • Lead programs to completion including developing implementation plans and motivating cross-functional teams to take action.

  • Drive project and organizational communications to inform stakeholders of progress, communicate with a range of audiences, from peers to senior executives, and provide clarity in ambiguous situations to ensure stakeholders are aware of risks and opportunities.
