Are you a FSI Advisory (Director or equivalent) who has successfully managed Business-IT Transformation initiatives at a Global 2000 (or comparable) company? Are you experienced at transitioning to cloud to solve a specific business problem and delivering breakthrough experiences by pioneering the use of cloud services as a means to help drive innovation? At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're seeking outcome-driven, visionary, and customer-obsessed technical and functional business leaders/advisors to support and coach our customers’ journey to breakthrough results and sustainable value.

As a valuable member of the Advisory Delivery team focused on business enablement and transformation in the FSI and Fintech sectors, you will be responsible for advising organizations on their cloud journey. You will guide both traditional financial institutions and Fintechs in designing innovative solutions using cloud services to create value and accelerate growth.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage relationships with C-level executives in financial institutions, Fintechs, and other financial ecosystem stakeholders to align on and execute strategic transformation initiatives.

• Identify the business and IT drivers of cloud adoption within the financial sector, collaboratively designing tailored strategies and roadmaps for success.

• Optimize financial business processes such as digital banking, payments, risk management, regulatory compliance, and more, to maximize cloud benefits, promoting agility and operational efficiency.

• Design and deliver technical solutions that address specific financial sector complexities, such as scalability in data management, Fintech platform integration, regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, GDPR), and enhanced cybersecurity.

• Assist in planning and executing organizational change management within financial institutions, driving stakeholder buy-in while navigating stringent regulatory requirements.

• Develop compelling business cases to justify cloud investment and enable cost optimization within financial business models.

• Collaborate with internal AWS teams and external stakeholders to foster a culture of innovation in financial services, driving continuous improvements and positive change.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, consulting, and/or engineering/development

  • Experience with engaging deeply with C-level executives to define and execute enterprise-wide transformation programs

  • Experience with identifying opportunities to scale engagements in enterprise IT professional service or cloud services

  • Strong background/ experience working with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. SAFe, TOGAF, Business Capability maps, Value Maps) and management frameworks (e.g. ITIL v3 processes, COBIT, CMMI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s/ MBA degree

  • 12+ years of leadership experience across enterprise IT and/or consulting

  • Hands-on experience with cloud migration initiatives as an AWS customer or consulting with a customer on their IT transformation

  • Experience in financial business processes such as digital banking, payments, risk management, regulatory compliance, and more, to maximize cloud benefits, promoting agility and operational efficiency

  • Hands-on experience planning and leading large-scale cross-functional enterprise IT change management programs

  • Strong background in one of the following methodologies: Sigma, Agile/SCRUM, SAFe, Value Stream Mapping, Design Thinking

  • Domain knowledge and experience in the areas of lean startup, digital innovation, digital strategy and/or product development
