Our client, a prominent asset management firm founded in San Francisco, is one of the largest independently owned investment firms globally. This San Francisco-based role offers a dynamic hybrid work environment in beautiful offices with excellent profit-sharing opportunities. Responsibilities:

  • Compile supporting computations and review federal and state income tax returns, including estimated tax payments.

  • Prepare and submit state gross receipts returns.

  • Conduct research and resolve complex income tax issues.

  • Calculate quarterly and annual tax provisions for both standalone and consolidated entities.

  • Assist in annual global transfer pricing documentation.

  • Complete annual business property reports.

  • Address information requests from various tax authorities.

  • Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules for GAAP and tax reporting purposes.

    Requirements

  • CPA or CPA progress preferred.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in tax compliance or consulting required.

  • Tax background in the financial services industry preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting federal and state tax laws.

  • Experience with multi-state pass-through entities preferred.

  • Proficiency in specialized tax research databases and Excel.

  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.

  • Effective team player, capable of working independently.

  • Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, project management, and communication.
