Position Overview:
Effectively supervises and coordinates the overall management of activities of the pharmacy technicians/Medication Management Navigators including scheduling, training, coaching and counseling, and performance evaluations, thus ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of work is maintained in the pharmacy patient assistance operation and the various satellite clinics within their assigned territory. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure continuity of services provided by the pharmacy technicians/Medication Management Navigators.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
SUPERVISION:
Assures that a smooth and efficient flow of work is maintained.
Organizes workflow and establishes priorities.
Maintains schedules for pharmacy technicians/Medication Management Navigator including requests for time off and sick coverage.
Provides liaison between pharmacy technicians/Medication Management Navigator , pharmacies and supported clinics.
Effectively coordinates team building.
Completes performance evaluations in a timely and efficient manner.
Effectively communicates and applies pharmacy, hospital and departmental policies.
Effectively monitors timesheets and overtime usage.
Effectively utilizes positive reinforcement, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
Conducts monthly pharmacy technician/Medication Management Navigator meetings for the positive exchange of information and/or potential problems.
Interviews and hires staff.
Coordinates activities to support a system of sharing staff which increases productivity.
Coordinating and integrating interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.
Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided.
OPERATION:
Serves as a resource to team, providing direction for issue/problem resolution and responding timely to escalated issues.
Develops and implements standard work, processes and workflows to ensure effective and efficient operations while soliciting feedback from staff.
Leads continuous improvement efforts using Lean or other process improvement methods and concepts and implements approved recommendations.
Implements and enforces adherence to department, entity, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and, TJC standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
Ensures maintenance of appropriate records and level of supplies.
Promotes efficient and effective communications between departments to improve and standardize workflows.
Collaborates with others to coordinate services, streamline workflow, standardize procedures, and/or drive positive outcomes.
Identifies areas of non-compliance or vulnerability, developing, recommending and implementing corrective action plans to address or minimize risk.
EDUCATION:
Other: Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician
PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years of recent relevant Experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations relating to the practice of Pharmacy.
Knowledge of basic dosing information. Basic arithmetic and algebra.
Computer literate in Microsoft Windows environment with moderate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) and Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

Pay Range is $46.29 to $69.44 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
