Google Strategic Partner Development Manager, Images and Discover in San Francisco, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading complex agreement discussions from concept through execution.

  • Experience partnering with Product teams to build Go-To-Market processes.

  • Track record as a strategic thought-leader at a global technology/media company in business development, partnerships, product management or general management.

  • Ability to clarify and summarize complex issues with the ability to influence internal stakeholders across all levels of management (including C-Suite).

  • Excited about problem-solving ambiguous and complex early-stage projects.

Global Product Partnerships (GPP) helps Google access the content that powers and differentiates Google products and services by managing Content Partnerships and Actions Integrations. These partnerships and ecosystem investments power Google’s products in several areas, including: Search, Assistant, Discover, Images, Geo (Maps, Local), News and Publishing, Research and Machine Intelligence, Chrome/Web, Developer Products, and Area 120.

GPP’s Search team leads content partnerships and actions integrations to make user journeys on Search more compelling, visual, and locally relevant. Our partnerships power content for Search’s most popular verticals (including Sports, Media, Weather, Language, Finance, Social Impact) and enrich the search ecosystem with images, video, gifs, local events, and more. We’re enabling the next generation of Search features (including Discover and Image Search) through early-stage product partnerships and content ecosystem investments.

In this role you will develop and execute global partnerships strategies that enable Google Images (Image Search) and Google Discover to help users find and explore content across their favorite interests. You will work closely with product leaders and cross-functional teams to bring to market new product features. You will develop go-to-market strategies to capture early market feedback and scale new product initiatives. You will source, facilitate, and execute complex agreements for Google. You will build and manage internal relationships with Product stakeholders and operate as part of a high performing team supporting several of Google’s critical initiatives.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

  • Partner closely with Product and other cross-functional teams to drive product partnerships for assigned initiatives from concept to launch.

  • Understand and enhance product roadmap (implications for Google and partners). Define and lead partnerships strategy, identify new product-enabling partnership opportunities, and develop relevant go-to-market plans.

  • Lead complex agreement strategy, due diligence, and own agreement execution/correspondence to achieve product content goals for new user experiences.

  • Lead partnerships strategy and approach through sensitive ecosystem and regulatory topics, working cross-functionally with Product, Product Policy, Legal, and Leadership.

  • Build and evolve strategic content relationships with external partners with special attention towards ecosystem value creation.
