The worldwide data management software market is massive (According to IDC, the worldwide database software market, which it refers to as the database management systems software market, was forecasted to be approximately $82 billion in 2023, growing to roughly $137 billion in 2027. This represents a 14% compound annual growth rate). At MongoDB, we are transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps that people use daily. We are the leading developer data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. MongoDB seeks an exceptional Staff Product Manager to join our Application Modernization R&D Product organization. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our future and contributing to our growth. We are particularly interested in candidates based in the United States, with a preference for those on the West Coast for our hybrid working model.
Many organizations have built up large estates of legacy applications. Lack of scalability and resilience, long development times, operating costs, and inability to run on the cloud are common issues with these applications. Organizations are engaging in large transformational Application Modernization programs to address these issues. MongoDB is recognized as the developer data platform of choice for transactional and AI-powered systems that provide the best scalability, resiliency, and developer experience in the cloud and on-premises. Organizations continuously migrate workloads from these legacy applications to new platforms, often based on microservices, with MongoDB as the data platform.
Such transformations are expensive, time-intensive, and often risky. Generative AI promises to accelerate these transformations in a way never seen before, particularly in code conversion. Within the Application Modernization R&D team, this strategic role will lead the Gen-AI product capabilities that business analysts, developers, and functional users can use to convert their legacy business logic to the target of their choice as a part of the large-scale code transformation projects. You will develop AI and ML capabilities by working with our largest enterprise customers, our forward-deployed AI field engineers, and our professional services organization.
If hands on solutioning and developing AI-accelerated products on code generation and modernization space is exciting, this is the opportunity for you!
