Role Summary
In this role, as a Sr. Product Manager, Data Platform you will be responsible for building the strategy and roadmap for scaling the core components of Splunk’s search platform. You will accomplish this with your technical understanding of distributed systems, ability to ruthlessly prioritize work items, and ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers. You will merge attention to technical detail with the ability to understand and align to business imperatives while working hand-in-glove with cross-functional execution teams to drive customer insights and inputs directly into the development process.

What you’ll get to do
Own the entire search platform that powers analytics for mission critical applications and customers
Engage with customers (internal and external) and field teams to understand product gaps and translate them into clear priorities and roadmap
Develop product requirements, user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria for proposed enhancements
Work with developers and architects to brainstorm solutions and define clear success criterion
Establish relationships with customers and internal and external collaborators to collect key user and customer needs and validate potential solutions
Collaborate with customers, engineering, UX, PMs, operations, marketing, and field on a regular cadence
Must-have Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a minimum of 3 years of product management experience and a Bachelor's degree
Proven ability to lead a platform product area and deliver a meaningful outcome for customers
Experience interacting with software administrators, cloud operations teams, and technical architects and ability to synthesize clear requirements
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience driving alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A data-driven approach to prioritization and the ability to own a product area

Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems or databases
Experience with software development lifecycles, release automation, and certification processes.

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $159,200.00 - 218,900.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $143,280.00 - 197,010.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $127,360.00 - 175,120.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
