We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal Software Engineer. You need to bring a wealth of experience in Salesforce architecture, development and integration, with an experience of delivering scalable solutions. This role requires a blend of advanced technical skills and strategic thinking to lead the evolution of our Salesforce platform and enhance our business processes. This is a hybrid role in the San Francisco Bay Area, and you will report to Engineering Leader in Sales Domain.

Our missing is to develop power AI powered insights for Sellers. We want you to join us and be one of the pivots for our customer(s) / seller(s) success by providing trusted and seamless experience with technology.

Responsibilities

  • You should be able to lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and administrators

  • You will provide technical guidance and direction on Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and integration strategies

  • You will review and approve code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices

  • You will design & build scalable and robust Salesforce solutions that align with business requirements

  • You will develop custom applications and integrations using Salesforce technologies (Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, etc.)

  • You will create and maintain technical documentation, including solution architecture, design specifications, and user guides

  • You will collaborate with product and project managers to define project scope and timelines

  • We need you to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders

  • You should be able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently

  • You are expected to work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements

  • You are expected to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain technical concepts and project status

  • You will participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to strategic planning

  • We need you to be flexible to work with cross geo teams to accommodate project deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Salesforce declarative & code development, and architecture

  • Technical Leadership experience

  • You have strong proficiency in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)

  • Must have experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools

  • You have strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

  • We need you to bring your experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular o or Node.js

  • You have knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development

  • You have knowledge of Salesforce data models, security, and performance tuning

  • You have familiarity with Data cloud, CI/CD tools and DevOps practices in a Salesforce environment

  • Salesforce Administrator

  • Salesforce Architect (preferred)

  • You have user centric mindset

  • You have effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • You have ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Have knowledge of other CRM platforms and integration experience

  • Some familiarity with Salesforce AppExchange products and third-party integrations

  • You should have understanding of business processes in sales, marketing, and customer service

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,800 and $260,150. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
