What We Need:

The Social Media Coordinator works under the direction of the Digital Program Director and is responsible for creating content for assigned iHeartMedia San Francisco social media platforms.

What You'll Do:

The Social Media Coordinator will be a part of the overall digital content team for iHeartMedia San Francisco. This entry-level position will help engage our audience on major social media platforms, with an emphasis on growing engagement and driving listening to the iHeartRadio app and various other KPIs set by the national iHeartRadio team. The position is based in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the planning, development and delivery of content for social media platforms for assigned stations under the guidance of the Digital Program Director and Program Directors.

  • Collaborates with Programming, Promotions, and Sales.

  • Produces social video content that supports and enhances station initiatives, such as breaking and trending news articles & blogs, contests, photo galleries, podcasts and local feature pages.

  • Manages the various official social media accounts for assigned stations. This includes scheduling and posting on behalf of the station, as well as monitoring the social space in general.

  • Creates graphics and assets to enhance our social content.

  • Brings an array of original ideas and concepts to create new content that promotes listener engagement, social platform growth, website content and supports digital business goals.

  • Captures video for social posting, including station-sponsored events, on-location interviews, concerts and other behind-the-scenes digital content as opportunities arise.

  • Tracks progress and assists in guiding social strategy using analytic tools and metrics.

What You'll Need:

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in social platforms, including but not limited to Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as efficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Photoshop, video editing software and various analytics tools

  • Ability to learn and utilize content management systems quickly

  • Highly proficient in digital content creation for social media and video.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proven writing, editing, proofreading and copywriting skills

  • Excellent project management skills; strong attention to detail, and high work standards

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team with a positive attitude

  • Strong understanding of trending news, pop culture and entertainment content.

  • Passion for creating content at live broadcasts, events and concerts.

  • Fluid weekly work schedule, occasional evenings and weekends required.

Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in social media, online content creation and/or digital video.

  • Please submit a digital portfolio with relevant links to social/graphic design/video projects and articles candidate has worked on.

  • Entertainment media experience preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in media, journalism, communications or film production

Compensation:

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
