Server-Side Software Engineer – Apple Services Engineering

As a Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the services powering Apple Enterprise products and systems. You will implement complex software in accordance with project requirements, design, and Apple’s commitment to privacy and security. This is a highly collaborative and dynamic role that works daily with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams across Apple to ship high-impact features at a fast pace to delight our customers. Key Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record in building and shipping microservice-based SaaS applications

• Expertise in Go or similar experience in other backend languages, with a willingness to learn Go

• Ability to design elegant, performant, and scalable solutions that allow us to bring great products to market efficiently and reliably

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change as new opportunities to innovate arise

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive clarity and alignment for the entire team

• Direct and timely communication to surface opportunities and identify blockers

• Experience with Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, or equivalent technologies

• A focus on customer value and a commitment to product excellence

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.

Additional Requirements

• •Strong Computer Science fundamentals are essential. Whether you have a traditional degree or learned some other way, we’d love to talk with you!

• •5+ years of developing web services in a professional environment, or equivalent experience.

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
