Area Description:
Our Software Engineering team is responsible for Billing & Payments for GFiber customers. As part of this role, we are looking for a senior application engineer for design, build, manage this billing and payments platform with engineering mindset to give the best experience for our customers.
Role Description:
As our Senior Application engineer specializing in Billing & Payments, you’ll be part of a highly visible team responsible for developing the software components on third party platforms and inhouse applications that would involve build,configure, maintenance on the third party products and also build critical Microservices APIs and infrastructure that supports various clients, including Android, iOS, Web, and internal applications. You’ll learn and use industry standard implementation patterns for building and maintaining billing and payments functions for GFiber. As a team member, you foster a team environment, for junior engineers and vendors, that supports collaboration and learning.
In this role, you’ll :
Develop and integrate scalable billing and payment solutions that adhere to industry best practices and are built using Java/Kotlin and other related.
Leverage products like Zuora and Adyen as the billing/payment platform to configure, build, design, secure and manage APIs/functionality that are exposed to other applications.
Lead payment engineering efforts with a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment across distributed teams, providing technical guidance, reviews and support to help team members succeed in their work.
Responsible for payment operations on the engineering team with software build/patches etc, utilizing self-service tooling for the wider development teams to perform API Management.
Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams (e.g., TPMs, business ops, backend engineers, etc.) to deliver high-quality projects on time.
At a minimum we’d like you to have :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in building, configuring, and maintaining payment processing systems utilizing products like Adyen, Zuora.
3 years of experience in software design and development using Java and/or Kotlin to build services for billing/payment processing in an enterprise eco system.
2 years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
It's preferred if you have:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience using Linux/Unix operating systems.
Software engineering experience with Java/Kotlin and related technologies, including Spring Understanding of API security best practices and standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $139,000 - $203,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
