Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the intensivist, this position supports the Critical Care Service Line. Principal responsibilities include assessing and managing the medical care of patients in collaboration with the physician. The incumbent will also communicate with other nursing staff and referring physician to ensure the continuity and coordination of care. Adheres to hospital polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional advanced nursing practice. Follows ambulatory care and inpatient standardized procedures, protocols, policy and procedures regulated by the State of California Nurse Practice Act.

EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Master's: Nursing
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
RN-Registered Nurse of California
NP-Nurse Practitioner (National certification)
ACNP-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner within 1 Year of hire
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Certification required based on the department requirements
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing.
Critical Care experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work with individuals of diverse background and experience to create an effective working climate

Pay Range is $85.04 to $120.43 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
