Position Overview
As a Machine Learning Intern on the DXC Data Science team, you will have the opportunity to drive the design, analysis, and delivery of data-driven solutions to significant business challenges. You will collaborate with other ML Engineers to deliver ML-driven technical solutions to customer needs on our platform.
Our team is responsible for delivering Machine Learning Features that transform the customer experience for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success functions at Autodesk. Our 2024 focus is on the Autodesk Assistant, an LLM-driven, Universal Chatbot intended to provide generative answers to a wide range of our customers’ inquiries.
Responsibilities
Design and implement Machine Learning capabilities that improve Autodesk’s eCommerce & Customer platforms
Perform statistical and data analysis and exploration to generate datasets for model training and development
Collaborate with the team to reach better solutions, and to position our team at the cutting edge of technology and ML practices
Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2026, with a focus in Computer Science, Statistic, or related fields
Proficiency with the Python Machine Learning stack, e.g. Pandas, etc
Knowledge of experimental design and analysis of results
Prior experience applying Machine Learning, including both Deep Learning (PyTorch) and Classical ML (Scikit-Learn)
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Large Language Models, especially in the context of interactive dialog systems and chatbots (RAG, Generative AI, Conversational Agents)
Experience deploying systems that use NLP such as Information Retrieval (IR), Recommender Systems (RecSys), or other NLP Applications
Prior experience with big data technology such as Hive, Presto, Glue, (Py)Spark, or Athena
Experience with data pipelines and model serving in AWS
About the US Intern Program
The 2025 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 19 – August 8 or June 16 – September 5). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Salary Transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.
For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:
$47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
$72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
$118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
