Aerotek Facilities Technician in San Francisco, California

Description:

• Maintains a working knowledge of building systems and Facilities operations.

• Acts as the primary contact for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage,

emergencies and repairs).

• Creates work orders on demand from phone, email or verbal request, and processes, assigns and

updates daily work orders and ensures proper communication to work order requester.

• Performs maintenance of interior and exterior buildings including painting, minor construction,

repairs, equipment and furniture installation.

• Actively monitors facility and equipment conditions, makes recommendations for maintenance or

improvement.

• Maintains all building equipment, orders supplies, tools, and keeps an inventory.

• Manages and maintains primary utilities’ systems such as HVAC system, elevators, checks and

controls water, gas and electric systems.

• Solicits bids and quotes from vendors, schedules repairs, and monitors contractor performance.

Works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to

specifications.

• Assists supervisor in project coordination for all size projects including large scale repair and new

facility construction/renovation projects.

Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a

24/7 basis.

• Performs repairs and/or replacement of plumbing fixtures, valves and other devices as required.

• Performs re-lamping, repairs and/or replacement of electrical fixtures, devices and appliances as

required.

• Performs carpentry work as required to repair windows, doors, hardware, screens and furniture.

Performs some installation and dismantles as well as mechanical equipment troubleshooting and

repairs.

• Troubleshoots and performs repair on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

• Transports goods or equipment as required.

• Orders small tools and materials for work order completion.

• Assists and maintains tools and materials inventory.

• Assists and performs preventive maintenance program.

• Assists and performs monthly, weekly, and daily facilities inspections. Provides written

documentation to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Assists with fire drills at all locations as needed.

• Provides training to new employees and refresher training on an as-needed basis.

• Follows OSHA regulations for all projects, equipment operation, and chemical usage including

labeling, storage, disposal, and the use of personal protective equipment.

• Assists in conducting site inspections and completes checklists on a regular basis. Provides written

documentation to the Maintenance Supervisor and Director.

• Assists in overseeing overall building cleanliness and job performance of Technicians I & II.

• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor & Director.
