Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise maintenance staff across multiple shifts, ensuring timely and high-quality service for vehicles and equipment.
Work closely with the Equipment Maintenance Manager to meet all operational objectives.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements (as applicable).
Assist with procurement of parts and tools and maintain accurate records related to service, repair, and inventory.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure effective maintenance operations, and address any safety or equipment issues promptly.
Be ready to respond to emergencies 24/7, keeping equipment downtime to a minimum.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of related work experience, including supervising union personnel.
Experience with a wide range of equipment, from balers to landfill machinery.
Knowledge of DOT compliance, CHP B.I.T. Inspections, and out-of-service criteria.
Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
High school diploma (GED) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Valid Driver's License and Class B Commercial Drivers' License within 6 months of hire.
