The Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) team forges the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, provides and manages our digital foundation and common capabilities, and transforms our business models to meet evolving customer needs and grow the company. The investments we are making will help the company create innovative digital banking experiences, and make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.
The Digital Credit Card, Merchant Services and Personal Lending Product Management team is responsible for the development of strategy and implementation of Digital Merchant Services acquisition capabilities and journeys/experiences, which enable Small Business customers to research, apply for, and on board new Merchant Services products.
The Digital Consultant 5 Responsibilities include:
Agile Product Owner: Accountable and responsible as the Product Owner for defining stories, managing a backlog, prioritizing stories, and accepting stories for an Agile scrum team. Manages priorities to Objectives, Key Results and Key Performance Indicators. Ensures implementations meet Legal, Risk and Compliance requirements. Represent Line of Business needs & priorities within the Digital teams.
Customer Experience Focus: Staying connected to customer and business needs, as well as the evolving design and architecture of front end platforms, to make aligned and informed decisions on the on boarding customer experience.
Partnerships: Collaborating with Digital, Technology, Line of Business, Risk and other partners to support Retail, Small Business, Merchant Services, and Deposit products and implement digital customer experiences such that customers can quickly, easily, and securely satisfy underwriting and regulatory needs.
Innovation: Drive innovation to achieve the scrum team’s Key Performance Indicators.
This opportunity will be based in the San Francisco, CA market.
10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting
5+ years of Agile experience
5+ years of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience
Agile Scrum (CSM), SAFE certifications or other advanced Agile certifications
Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
1+ year of mobile platforms experience
Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Credit card industry experience
Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
Ability to develop roadmaps and plans that enable strategies
Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Financial services industry experience
A BS/BA degree or higher
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Other Desired Qualifications
1+ year Merchant Services Experience
Experience working with APIs and Microservices is strongly preferred
Experience with requirements management/Agile tools such as JIRA, Enterprise Architect, JAMA, Confluence
Preferred experience in delivering acquisition or servicing digital customer journeys and features
