Actalent Construction Manager in San Francisco, California

Job Title: Construction Manager

Job Description

Serve as the primary contact for contract-related matters, design, and systems (RFIs, change orders, submittals). Collaborate with the Owner (public agency, school district, etc.) on design and construction contracts. Represent the owner and project in public meetings. Ensure compliance with project requirements based on contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications. Develop project-specific procedures and documentation. Manage data, information, and approvals between project stakeholders. Oversee project controls, cost, and performance activities. Lead project meetings, track relevant information, and document project status. Coordinate and monitor construction management staff, contractors, and engineers. Provide bid phase services as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Structural Engineering

  • Experience in public works projects

  • Experience handling change orders and ensuring proper documentation

  • Experience managing the submittal process, including reviewing and approving materials

  • Experience addressing RFIs promptly and resolving issues

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • DSA experience is required

  • Experience in K-12 or higher education projects in the design phase

  • Advanced level experience in project management or construction management

Work Environment

The work environment follows a standard construction management schedule of 8 am to 5 pm, five days a week in the office. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00
