Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Compliance Manager in the fintech industry, based in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be ensuring AML compliance, overseeing transfers, and developing the corporate risk and compliance function. This role is an individual contributor role, reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Ensure AML (Anti Money Laundering) compliance in all business operations.

• Monitor and manage transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Develop and implement the corporate risk and compliance function, providing strategic direction to the business.

• Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key player in the business's risk and compliance strategy.

• Guarantee UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices) compliance across all business operations.

• Review and monitor marketing materials for compliance with regulations.

• Develop and manage the RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) program.

• Utilize compliance software, such as Archer, to ensure efficient and effective compliance operations.

• Handle and resolve compliance-related complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to regulations.

• Carry out regular auditing to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement. Requirements • Proficiency in Archer, with a demonstrable ability to leverage the tool in compliance management tasks.

• Familiarity with other compliance software to streamline and automate processes.

• Knowledge of AML (Anti Money Laundering) procedures and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in the workplace.

• Proven experience in auditing, with the ability to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to established protocols.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex compliance information to various stakeholders.

• Experience in complaint handling, with the ability to tactfully manage and resolve issues in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Comprehensive understanding of compliance, with the ability to develop, implement, and manage compliance programs within the organization.

• Knowledge of UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices) and the ability to guide the organization in avoiding such practices.

• Proficiency in KYC (Know Your Customer) AML (Anti Money Laundering) processes, with a focus on customer due diligence.

• Demonstrable understanding of compliance risk, with the ability to assess and mitigate potential risk factors.
