Meta Communications Manager, Reality Labs in San Francisco, California

Summary:

Meta is seeking a highly motivated Communications Manager to create awareness and excitement for Reality Labs and its products. This person will work on an exciting range of products and services within Meta's AI Wearables group, including Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and future products. All of these initiatives come together to build the next computing platform with people at the center. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about new technology, understands current trends, brings creativity and writes well. This individual should have a track record of planning and executing announcements, working closely with media (press and creators), advising and/or executing on social media campaigns, and working cross-functionally across product, marketing and partners. In addition to a focus on AI Wearables, this person will also work across multiple RL initiatives outside of that scope.

Required Skills:

Communications Manager, Reality Labs Responsibilities:

  1. Create plans and campaigns to advance product adoption and company reputation

  2. Tell compelling stories about our products and their impact on people across varied channels

  3. Maintain relationships with media and creators

  4. Support proactive communications work across seasonal/moments in current trends and events and launches, with a particular focus on verticals such as entertainment, lifestyle, sports and fashion.

  5. Think through integrated marketing communications across all channels, including owned, earned and social

  6. Help shape the tone for Reality Labs to create messaging and tactics that will resonate with users in the emerging adult demographic and mainstream general audiences around the world

  7. Work directly with executives to shape how they can help advance our campaigns or narratives

  8. Write content such as social posts, blogs, pitches, and other creative materials that promote various announcements and milestones

  9. Lead press events, prepare spokespeople, and create briefing materials

  10. Collaborate across multiple functions including engineering, product, marketing, content, and communications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or related field

  2. 7+ years of experience in gaming, public relations, or related field

  2. Experience working with lifestyle, sports, fashion verticals

  3. Experience or familiarity with AI and its impact on consumers

Public Compensation:

$116,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
