Description
AWS Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) is seeking a Sr. Mechanisms and Scale Specialist to drive lasting, scalable improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and refining durable mechanisms and mental models that enable GDSP to scale efficiently while maintaining consistency and high standards.
This role requires strong analytical skills to examine existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that scale processes and drive operational excellence.
The specialist will take ownership of complex initiatives aligned with GDSP's strategic goals, implementing unified processes and defining standard operating procedures across the organization.
This role will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including establishing and maintaining organizational communication standards, assessing and deploying processes that leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, helping establish a centralized function to support leaders in driving results, addressing repeatable needs across the organization, and identifying areas to help drive positive behaviors and improve alignment across teams, with the goal of creating scalable, repeatable solutions that empower leaders and teams to work more effectively.
They will spearhead standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, going beyond creation to encompass the critical task of embedding these processes within the organizational fabric and driving their adoption across all levels.
This role is pivotal in building and growing the foundation for consistency through the identification, execution, and delivery of scale-oriented initiatives.
You will be a systems thinker passionate about creating scalable solutions, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and as adept at seeing the big picture as they are diving into details.
You should excel at working autonomously, making sound judgments, and influencing all organizational levels.
This role involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure successful execution of process improvement initiatives.
Strong communication and change management skills are essential for guiding cross-functional efforts effectively.
The ability to simplify operational processes and decrease the operational load on the business will be key to success.
Familiarity with process automation and experience leveraging technology and tooling to create durable, scalable solutions is preferred.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
5+ years of program or project management experience in a customer-facing organization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Advanced excel skills
Experience with process automation, technology and tooling solutions
Change Management certification
Project Management certification

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
