About the Role:

As a CBRE Associate Real Estate Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Real Estate Manager in all operational and financial activities of a small portfolio of properties.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure efficient delivery of quality services and maintenance of the property including (but not limited to): janitorial, landscaping, metal/stone maintenance, pest control, waste management, and window washing.

  • Verify work orders and follow-up as needed using Angus software.

  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with tenants through regular communications. Research and respond to concerns and problems in timely manner. Escalate tenant issues to Senior Real Estate Manager appropriately.

  • Understand lease language and enforce clauses, insurance requirements, and payments. Assist with lease renewals, amendments, terminations, storage agreements, and temporary license agreements as directed by the Senior Real Estate Manager. Work with Lease Administration and tenants to ensure proper lease documentation.

  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs and generate appropriate notices.

  • Assist the Senior Real Estate Manager in development and control of annual budgets. Assist in preparation of monthly performance reports. Investigate and identify reasons for variances.

  • Support office and retail leasing efforts as directed including (but not limited to): conducting tours, providing information, attending prospective tenant meetings.

  • Assist with coordination of tenant improvement and building construction projects.

  • Assist with organizing events for tenants and the public. Obtain permits and certification of insurance as required.

  • Work well in teams that include Third Party contractors to achieve common objectives for the property.

  • Model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and customer communications is required. Must be able to communicate effectively with tact and discretion.

  • Self-motivated to maintain high quality, efficient, and effective job performance.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Basic accounting experience including tracking expenses to budgets is preferred.

  • California Real Estate License required.

  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $70,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $80,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
