Meta Associate Communications Manager, Instagram in San Francisco, California

Summary:

We're hiring an Associate Communications Manager to support the Instagram consumer brand communications team. This team launches products and relevant campaign programs highlighting the value of Instagram for consumers, and drives ongoing proactive storytelling and creator engagement. This role will spend time working with creators, next-gen media and social publishers to reach target audiences.

Required Skills:

Associate Communications Manager, Instagram Responsibilities:

  1. Work with Instagram Communications team to support brand, consumer, and product priorities

  2. Lead media strategy and execution to support Instagram campaigns and priority initiatives including traditional press outreach, social publisher, and creator engagement and social-first opportunities

  3. Lead media strategy and execution for product updates and launches across Instagram with a focus on consumer-led media, creators and social publishers

  4. Identify opportunities to tell creative, proactive stories that reach our target audiences outside of launches/tests. Think storytelling around internet trends, creator case studies, and viral Instagram moments

  5. Represent communications on cross-functional working teams, providing communications input for go-to-market plans, strategy, and tactics

  6. Collaborate with product, marketing and partnerships teams to create and execute go-to-market plans

  7. Build and manage relationships with consumer reporters, creators, social publishers, and new media outlets that reach priority audiences and drive coverage

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in PR, journalism, social media, or relevant field

  2. Understand current and emerging internet trends

  3. You understand the consumer, tech and next-generation media landscape, and can build and maintain relationships with press and creators relevant to Instagram

  4. Experience working with cross-functional teams

  5. Previous experience drafting press statements, blogs, narratives and social copy

  6. Experience working in environments where goals and project expectations often shift

Public Compensation:

$91,000/year to $136,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
