Description
The Plaintiff Consumer and Financial Fraud Attorney is responsible for representing consumers in individual and class action lawsuits against businesses and individuals who have engaged in consumer and financial fraud. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer and financial fraud law, as well as experience with complex litigation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate and evaluate potential consumer and financial fraud claims
Draft and file pleadings and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and other legal documents
Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
Manage all aspects of litigation cases from start to finish
Keep clients informed of the status of their cases and provide them with sound legal advice insurance, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
2+ years of experience representing consumers in individual or class action lawsuits
Strong understanding of consumer and financial fraud law
Experience with complex litigation
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
